Miraculously Healed To Sing

I experienced a miracle healing. I was able to sing. I am so thankful. The song was “There is a Balm in Gilead”. What was remarkable was how events progressed.

I called in sick last Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The reason that I called in sick was that I had a solo on Sunday, and I didn’t want to get others sick. On Monday and Tuesday nights, during Family Scripture Study, I couldn’t read without coughing. Misty had to read for me. By Wednesday, I called my Home Teacher, and left a voicemail for him to give me a Priesthood Blessing. That night, another friend responded to call, but I told him that I thought I could take care of my healing myself. He said, “Reach out if you need any help”.

Thursday, I returned to work. My boss mentioned that she could count on one hand the number of times I had called in sick over the twelve years I’ve worked at O’Neil Software. I was still coughing a little. Misty told me that the Missionaries had come by, to see if I needed a blessing. That night, I called the Ward Choir Director and told her about my condition. She said we would play it by ear.

By Friday, I still had not improved enough that I thought I could sing on Sunday. By this time, I knew I needed help. I could not heal by myself. I needed Divine Intervention. So I made an appointment for the Missionaries to come over that night. They came over and pronounced a blessing that I would be able to sing on Sunday. We then shared some hot water with lemon juice and honey.

On Saturday, Misty took me to the store and we bought throat lozenges. I slept in in the morning, and worked on the computer in the afternoon.

By Sunday, I was miraculously ready to sing! I did have a little tickle in my throat, which I calmed down with a lozenge. Everyone was pleased that I was able to sing.

I attributed my performance to the healing power of the Savior’s Love and Atonement. I received many compliments, and I shared that they had just witnessed a miracle. I was told that my voice sounded clear.

Afterwards, for the rest of the day, I was a little horse, but I was healed sufficiently to perform. Angels ministered unto me, including our true and faithful Missionaries.

I am eternally grateful to my Savior for what He has done for me. I know that I am a sinner, and I am thankful for His forgiveness. This miracle showed to me how I need to be totally dependent on Him, for His Grace and Loving Support; and I know that I received on it on this day.
