What a nice day! The talks in General Conference were very inspiring, and I stayed awake for all of them! I especially liked Neil L. Andersen’s talk about whether couples have, or do not have, children, and that the decision between the couple and the Lord; and he said three times that others should not be judgemental about the couple’s decision. The decision is private and sacred.
I did it! On January 26, 2011, I set out to write about the impressions I receive as a I read each chapter in the Book of Mormon. I wrote down my impressions, a chapter for each day, on this blog.
Today, I just finished the last chapter of the Book of Mormon, Moroni 10. I did not plan it this way, but it just so happens that I did finish the Book of Mormon on the first day of General Conference, according to the Divine Order of all things spiritual. It was according to God’s Plan, and not my own.
As promised in Moroni 10:4, my testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon definitely has grown stronger. My testimony does come from the power of the Holy Ghost, because while writing down my impressions after reading each chapter, I wrote down a reason to be thankful for the principles taught in each chapter of the Book of Mormon. So, I do feel for certain that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.
Even during the wars reported in the Book of Mormon, I found gospel truths. I learned so much about the Book of Mormon and about myself.
And today, during General Conference, I had a revelation. I learned that for me to be absolutely humble, I need to behave like an obedient child of God, who is my Heavenly Father. I should not be rebellious and proud, and ignore the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I need to remember that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real people, and they have given me commandments for me to obey. I need to be more meek, and submissive, to the will of God, who loves me, and who wants me to return to Him.
